Foundation Stage

Work planned for children in their first years at school (Nursery and Reception, known as the ‘Foundation Stage’) will be following the ‘Early Learning Goals’ in the areas of social, personal and emotional development; communication, language and literacy; mathematical development, knowledge and understanding of the world, physical development and creative development.

 

It also recognises the future requirements of Key Stage 1 of the National Curriculum and the needs of individual children.
